Integrated Nutrition and Care Allocation: Evaluation Protocol
NCA-24-01 · Authorization, outcome monitoring and sponsor responsibilities for a nested Continuity evaluation.
Authorization and research purpose
LifeCorp Research authorizes a limited evaluation of coordinated nutrition and care allocation within the Integrated Workforce Optimization Initiative. The evaluation will compare an automated allocation engine with conventional service administration over the 2025 calendar year. The sponsor seeks a more complete account of the economic and service effects of decisions spanning several divisions.
Protocol reference NCA-24-01. The engine is a task-specific allocation system developed within the existing forecasting programme. Authorization covers this evaluation configuration and its monitored service environment. LifeCorp Research owns the study objectives; participating providers remain responsible for delivery.
Population and allocation
The authorized population comprises 1,560 adult employees within the 5,200-person Continuity service configuration. One adult is included per participating household. Employer and service records establish the sampling frame. The evaluation excludes the direct-enrolment comparison population and municipal programmes.
Baseline service access and employer group will be balanced across two arms of 780 participants. Assignment will occur within those blocks. The automated arm receives engine-directed allocation; the comparison arm remains under conventional administration. Analysts will retain the assigned population when preparing the principal outcome account.
Blinding and administrative notice
Participants will continue to use their existing employer, benefits administrator and nutrition-provider interfaces. The study assignment and common infrastructure operator will remain masked during service delivery. The research authorization treats existing benefits notices as the administrative basis for participation; employer administrators will receive implementation information.
The sponsor records this arrangement as an interface-continuity measure. The protocol provides no separate participant-facing authorization describing automated control of nutrition or the cross-divisional financial objective. Questions about the adequacy of that arrangement will be referred to Corporate Governance.
Approved objective structure
The engine will evaluate nutrition programme expenditure, healthcare service revenue, resource availability and combined operating contribution. Economic performance is an approved component of the objective structure. The contribution measure will consolidate the participating service account and eliminate transfers within the group.
The evaluation team will monitor a prespecified composite adverse-health indicator alongside those economic measures. The indicator will summarize eligible non-emergency health observations recorded through the established monitoring process. Independent clinical responsibilities remain with participating providers.
Operating boundaries
The engine will operate within approved service categories, provider capacity and the allocation conditions supplied by the sponsor. Authorized reviewers may suspend an allocation sequence when an exception requires assessment. Study personnel will preserve the decision record and the information available at the time of each review.
The protocol authorizes evaluation of the system’s decisions within a bounded service environment. Provider discretion, incident escalation and record-access responsibilities are assigned through the implementation schedule. Any expansion requires a further sponsor decision.
Monitoring and review thresholds
Monitoring will address acute incidents, individual exceptions and the aggregate composite. Acute incidents follow the existing clinical escalation route. Aggregate changes will enter periodic review when they cross the sponsor’s prespecified threshold. Financial and health measures will be reported together at those reviews.
The threshold schedule distinguishes immediate suspension from a matter requiring continued observation. The protocol leaves changes below the aggregate suspension threshold within the normal review cycle. The sponsor accepts responsibility for this distinction and for the selection of the threshold itself.
Analysis and limitations
The principal comparison covers January 1 through December 31, 2025. The analysis will disclose arm sizes, observation completeness, baseline balance and the construction of each reported measure. Clinical interpretation of the composite requires examination of its components and the supporting service records.
Within-arm correlations between an allocation and a later care contact will be examined through additional case review. Aggregate results alone provide limited evidence about the pathway responsible for a particular individual outcome. Uncertainty and missing observations belong in the published account.
Sponsor accountability
LifeCorp selects the objectives, controls the evaluation environment and appoints the review authority. Research approval and provider participation establish administrative responsibility for the trial. The sponsor will commission an external assurance review of objective selection, participant protections and the response to emerging evidence.
Study closure will preserve outstanding findings for subsequent governance review. The final record will include the original protocol, amendments, results and management’s response to the assurance findings.
