Lattice Research & Evaluation / Intelligence Governance
Verified Engagement & Impression Layer. A research, standards and public-policy programme for a more predictable advertising interface.
VEIL proposes a browser-mediated alternative to duplicated delivery systems, arbitrary advertising scripts and repeated preference decisions. Publishers request a placement; the browser manages retrieval, isolated execution, resource budgets and the applicable suppression decision.
Opaque placement references limit direct disclosure of individual preference state. Side-channel inference, fraud prevention and independently auditable settlement remain active evaluation questions. Suppressed delivery is kept separate from verified advertising views.
The 2024 research paper and 2025 architecture specification were published by LifeCorp Research. Programme ownership transferred into Lattice Research & Evaluation under Intelligence Governance following the September 2026 partnership. The original records retain their historical identities.
Continuity’s managed workforce arrangements provide a reference for institutional policy administration. The established 1,560-person nested cohort remains part of that wider research record; VEIL reports no additional participant count or adoption statistic.
The Consumer Attention Protection and Advertising Interoperability Act is a proposed framework. Its provisions cover browser limits, state confidentiality, certification, policy authority and mediation integrity. The authority to assign available exposure levels and the treatment of independent filtering remain questions for public review.
