Practical help at a difficult time
LifeCorp Resident Services is introducing a named coordinator for households reporting a death. Families may request help with funeral and memorial arrangements, employer leave, provider notifications, account closure and dependent service continuity. A coordinator works from an agreed checklist so that relatives can see which tasks have been completed and which still need their decision.
Authority and household continuity
Each organization retains its own requirements for evidence and authority. Coordinators explain those requirements and help families prepare a single task record; they cannot instruct a bank, change a beneficiary or make a treatment decision on a relative’s behalf. Urgent surviving-household needs are assessed separately from the deceased person’s final account reconciliation.
Family records
At a household’s request, staff can help preserve photographs, letters and recorded messages in the existing household record service. Contributors identify who may receive a copy. Private family material is kept separate from the administrative checklist. This support includes assistance locating originals and making accessible copies; it makes no claim to reproduce the person who has died.
Access to support
The practical coordinator is available across residential service levels. Legacy arrangements may provide additional planning, but basic bereavement assistance does not require an upgrade. Families may use their own funeral provider or decline individual tasks. Staff will leave a written handover where a family prefers to manage the remaining arrangements itself.
