Preserved Family Records and Optional Interactive Memorials: Authorization Schedule

Preservation, access and generated representations require separate instructions and limited authority.

Corporate archive copy. Original document dates and publisher identities are retained.

Separate services

Bereavement coordination and preservation of original family records remain available without an interactive memorial. An optional memorial may provide source-linked search, contextual summaries or a constrained conversational representation through the restricted-model review process. Generated responses are labeled representations and may be incomplete or wrong. They are never evidence that the deceased person held a view absent from the preserved sources.

Prior authority

Activation requires the deceased person’s recorded authorization for the specific representation and a designated steward authorized to administer it. Consent to retain photographs or recordings alone is insufficient. Explicit restrictions recorded by the deceased prevail over a steward’s later request. Where authority is unclear or relatives supply conflicting instructions, the interactive function remains suspended while original records retain their existing access settings.

Access, licensing and withdrawal

The steward administers access within the recorded grant; paying for storage supplies no additional authority. Each contributor retains control over material they supplied, subject to applicable retention obligations. The service receives a limited license to preserve and provide authorized access. Private memorial records and generated exchanges are excluded from advertising profiles, commercial resale and general model training. These specific restrictions govern this service notwithstanding broader resident information permissions.

Household changes and removal

A survivor may end their own access and remove their own contributions. Their request to remove another person’s authorized copy requires a separate assessment of rights and recorded instructions. Ending membership triggers an accessible export and a choice of transfer or termination under the recorded grant. It supplies no new right to activate a representation. Staff retain a minimal authority and decision log, separated from family content; operational divisions receive neither conversations nor private memories.
