Community Connection: Matching and Support Allocation Method
The operating method distinguishes voluntary introductions from allocation of funded spaces and journeys.

Purpose and choice
The service offers introductions requested by residents and practical support for activities they choose. Matching uses stated interests, accessibility requirements, available times and geographic proximity. A resident may decline an introduction without a LifeScore adjustment. Staff record the requested assistance rather than grading the friendship.
Continuity assessment
When several groups request the same transport or recurring room, staff consider likely attendance and support-network durability over the next allocation period. Proximity to expected housing and work locations informs whether a recurring arrangement can be sustained. A connection involving divergent anticipated residential arrangements may receive fewer recurring funded journeys than a group expected to remain within the same service area. This ranking governs institutional support, not permission to maintain contact.
Information boundary
Housing supplies a coarse service-area forecast and the period for which it is reliable, with the resident’s authorization. Community staff receive no employment assessment, medical narrative or private correspondence. A resident may supply availability directly instead of authorizing the forecast. Refusal leaves the service to plan from the information supplied, with uncertainty recorded explicitly. Personal-archive material is outside the matching input set.
Exceptions and review
Safeguarding checks apply to staff-organized transport and supervised activities. Ordinary neighborly visits require no programme registration. Staff may authorize a temporary journey where a move would interrupt an established support relationship; a recurring exception requires a documented capacity review. Allocation notices identify the reason, alternatives and review contact. The service presently measures attendance and journey reliability; it has no validated measure of the cost of losing an established connection.
